Significant Payroll Issue Identified

This morning the APWU became aware that the Postal Service identified a computer glitch with the payroll system that will affect nearly 90,000 APWU represented bargaining unit employees. The APWU immediately contacted the USPS about the issue and will continue to monitor the situation until it is corrected.

PSE Conversion Process by Ron Malunat, Administrative Aide I am getting a lot of questions from PSEs concerning the conversion process.  According to the Memorandum of Understanding for Filling Residual Vacancies, the last step taken before a PSE can get converted is for the job to go through E-Reassign.  After no one takes the job in E-Reassign then it goes to PSE conversion.

October 16, 2018 -- Last month the Aircraft Engineers International (AEI) held their 46th Annual Congress in Stockholm, Sweden. Aircraft Maintenance Technicians/Engineers from around the world gathered to address the business of AEI, including: amending the AEI Constitution; electing members of the Executive Board; attending presentations on a variety of topics; and developing strategies for responding to the pressures being pushed onto our craft by air carriers looking to cut costs, government agencies inconsistently enforcing regulations and a growing trend of “atypical employment” in response to a shortage of qualified licensed personnel.
